Workmanship. Calculating machine shall be free from faulty construction or any characteristic or defects which affects appearance, serviceability, durability, or which may constitute a hazard to the user.
Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580, to the maximum extent practicable.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. The preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.

NOTE: Characteristics reflected in this description have been determined to be the minimum necessary to provide the Federal Government with an acceptable, general purpose calculating machine which will be used in an office environment. However, machines which fully conform to all the requirements specified, and which have additional features, functions, and capabilities not stated, i. e., square root, mark up, mark down, change key, etc., will be considered to be acceptable when offered in response to a solicitation for offer for this type of machine.
