CALCULATING MACHINE
(HANDHELD, BUSUNESS/FINANCIAL)
The General services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This description covers handheld electronic calculators with pre-programmed financial/business functions.
Salient characteristics.
Dimensions: Length (maximum) – 6 inches; width (maximum) – 3 inches.
Power: Battery or solar (light).
Display: Digits (minimum) – 8.
Memory: minimum of 1.
Calculator shall, at a minimum, have the following calculating and operating capabilities and functions:
Mathematical: Arithmetic (+,-,x,÷), x2, 
, lnx, ex, yx, 1/x, %, 
%.
Business financial: amortization, n, %i, PV, FV, PMT, cost, selling price, profit margin, compound interest, annuities, bonds.
Statistical: Mean/standard deviation, linear regression.
Scientific: Scientific notation (5 digit matissa – 2 digit exponent).
Fixed decimal.
Operating instructions to be furnished with each calculator.
Workmanship. Calculating machine shall be free from faulty construction or any defect or characteristic whichn affect appearance, usability, serviceability, or durability, or which may constitute a hazard to the user.
Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580 to the maximum extent practical.
Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking. Preservation, packaging, packing, labeling, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
